ATHENS, Ga. — With countdown to kickoff now in the single digits, the Georgia football team hit the fields at the UGA Club Sports Complex for another day of practice in anticipation of the season opener.

The 16th-ranked Bulldogs will square off against No. 20 North Carolina in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game in the Georgia Dome on September 3 at 5:30 p.m. Today, the Bulldogs’ preparations to play the ACC foe began.

“I think we took another step forward,” said Georgia tight end Jeb Blazevich. “We started to game plan for UNC so going forward it’s learning how to practice efficiently and keep on the gas pedal and keep our energy level high.”

Junior tailback Nick Chubb echoed the same sentiment as Blazevich while reflecting on another productive practice for the Bulldogs.

“Practice was good. We had a chance to get out there and get better,” said Chubb. “I thought we played hard and played fast. We were working on becoming a better Georgia team.”
