Georgia won the toss and elected to defer until the 2nd half.  Georgia Tech has elected to receive the opening kickoff.

Following a Georgia Tech punt on their opening possession, Georgia opens the scoring when Nick Chubb punches in from the 1 after Georgia marches 61 yards in 12 plays on its opening possession.

After Georgia Tech turns the ball over on downs, Fromm leads the Bulldogs on a 65 yard drive capped off by a 21 yard TD reception by Javon Wims. Georgia leads 14-0.

On their next possession, Georgia Tech marches 75 yards to score before the end of the half.  Georgia leads 14-7.

Georgia moves down the field quickly with a 6 play 50 yard drive in 42 seconds to get close enough for Rodrigo Blankenship to knock in a 37 yard FG as time expired in the 1st half.  Georgia leads 17-7 at the half.  Georgia will receive the 2nd half kickoff.

In the first half, Sony Michel led all rushers with 67 yards on the ground.  Javon Wims was the leading receiver with 61 yards receiving. Jake Fromm was 8-10 for 91 yards and 1 passing TD.

After the teams swap punts to open the 2nd half, Georgia takes the ball 77 yards on its second possession of the 2nd half.  The key play on the drive was a 39 yard reception by Mecole Hardman.  Sony Michel capped off the drive by rushing around the right end for a 4 yard rush TD.  Georgia leads 24-7 with 9:03 remaining in the 3rd Qtr.

After forcing a Yellow Jackets punt, the Bulldogs march 67 yards on a drive highlighted by a D’Andre Swift 31 yard rush.  The Bulldogs let Swift cap off the drive as he dives over the top for a 2 yard rush TD.  Georgia leads 31-7 with 1:23 remaining in the 3rd Qtr.

On a 3rd down from the Bulldogs’ own 22 yard line, Fromm hits Crumpton with a 78 yard TD pass to give the Bulldogs a 38-7 lead with 11:21 remaining in the 4th Qtr.
