BLACK 13, RED 7

♦  Head coach Kirby Smart’s desire for G-Day to be sold out undoubtedly came to fruition as not only did all seats appear full by kickoff, but Sanford Stadium’s PA announcer asked from fans on a couple of occasions to “squeeze in.”

♦  Freshman quarterback Jacob Eason received the biggest applause of all individual players and, at halftime, he was responsible for the most yardage. Playing for the Red, Eason had completed 11 of 14 passes for 134 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

♦  All points tallied by halftime were scored by those who had yet to score as a member of the Bulldogs: R-Fr. placekicker Rodrigo Blankenship (7 points) and R-Fr. running back Tae Crowder (6) for the Black, and Fr. tight end Issac Nauta (6) and R-So. placekicker William Ham (1) for the Red.

♦  Entering today, G-Day’s scoring differential had been 7 points or less five consecutive times.
