ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia junior linebacker Nakobe Dean has been named the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week, according to an announcement on Tuesday.
Dean, a native of Horn Lake, Miss., posted a team-high 11 tackles during the Bulldogs’ 41-17 rout of Tennessee, including two tackles for loss and a sack. Dean added a forced fumble and a pass breakup as Georgia locked down its first 8-0 mark in Southeastern Conference play in history.
The No. 1 Bulldogs (10-0, 8-0 SEC) play host to Charleston Southern (4-5, 3-4 Big South) on Saturday. SECN+ will stream the matchup at 12 p.m.
