The SEC has announced kickoff times and television assignments for Georgia’s first three games of the 2026 season. The Bulldogs open at home, hit the road for their SEC opener, and enter the season as one of the top programs in the country.
Georgia kicks off the season on September 5 against Tennessee State at Sanford Stadium in Athens. That game starts at 3 p.m. ET and will air on SEC Network+. The following week, the Bulldogs stay home to host Western Kentucky on September 12, with kickoff set for 12:45 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
Georgia opens SEC play on the road against Arkansas on September 19. That game is set for a noon ET start on ABC and has already generated some controversy, with Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek publicly calling on the SEC and ESPN to change the time due to scheduling concerns for his players.
The Bulldogs enter 2026 coming off a 12-2 season in which they won the SEC title. Quarterback Gunner Stockton returns for his second year as the starter after a strong debut season. Georgia faces three teams from the 2025 College Football Playoff field this season, hosting Oklahoma on September 26, traveling to Alabama on October 10, and visiting Ole Miss on November 7.
This season also marks the first time the SEC will play a nine-game conference schedule. Georgia’s only nonconference games are against Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, and Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs host the Yellow Jackets on November 28 to close out the regular season before a potential SEC Championship appearance in Atlanta.
Game times for the marquee SEC matchups will be announced either 13 days before kickoff or six days out, depending on when the SEC exercises its scheduling options.
