WHAT:The National Championship Trophy presented by Dr Pepper will be on display at two stores in Athens this week. Fans will be able to view and have their photo taken with the brand new 24k gold trophy that was awarded to the Georgia Bulldogs as 2023 College Football Playoff champions.

  • The National Championship Trophy presented by Dr Pepper was awarded on the field to Georgia at the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
  • Handmade from 24k gold, bronze and stainless steel, the trophy is 26.5 inches tall.
  • The trophy is handcrafted by the master fine art foundry UAP Polich Tallix in Walden, New York. Expert craftsmen worked three months to craft the trophy.
  • This is the ninth year of the College Football Playoff and the gold trophy. Previous winners include Ohio State (2014 season), Alabama (2015, 2017 and 2020), Clemson (2016 and 2018), LSU (2019). And Georgia (2021).
  • Every year, a new trophy is made. Each winning school keeps the CFP National Championship Trophy for permanent display on campus.
